Privacy Policy

This policy sets out how information about you is handled by the website "Therapists × AI & DX" (dxai.freelance-therapist.com) and the iOS app of the same name (together, "the Service").

This is an English translation provided for convenience. Where the two versions differ, the Japanese version governs.

1. Basic position

The Service exists only so that you can read learning material. No account is required, and we never ask for information that identifies you personally, such as your name, email address or date of birth. There is no advertising, and no analytics or advertising SDK that tracks your behaviour is built in.

2. Information that stays on your device

The iOS app stores the following only on your own device. None of it is sent to any server.

• Downloaded learning content (a copy so that you can read offline)
• Reading progress (which chapter you reached, and how far)
• Bookmarks and favourites
• Display preferences such as text size

Deleting the app erases all of this from your device. You can also delete it by hand at any time from "Settings" inside the app.

3. Information sent to the server

3-1. If you allow push notifications

So that we can tell you when a new chapter is published, the device token issued by Apple (a string that identifies your device) is registered with the Service's server, along with the app version and your language setting (for example, ja-JP).

The device token is not linked to a name or an email address, and it cannot on its own identify you. It is not used for any purpose other than delivering notifications.

How to remove it: turning notifications off in the app's "Settings" deletes the registration from the server. If you deny notifications from the iOS Settings app, or delete the app, the registration is disabled and removed as soon as Apple reports the device as undeliverable.

3-2. When content is fetched

When learning content is downloaded, the nature of network communication means that your IP address, the time of access and the request itself are recorded in the logs of the hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.). These are retained to prevent unauthorised access and to investigate faults; the operator of the Service does not consult them in order to identify individuals.

4. Sharing with third parties

Information obtained is never sold, lent or otherwise provided to third parties, except where disclosure is required by law.

The Service relies on the following providers in order to operate.

• Cloudflare, Inc. — delivery of the website and API, and storage of content
• Apple Inc. — delivery of push notifications (APNs) and distribution of the app

5. Use by children

The Service provides learning material for professionals. It is not designed or advertised for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. A note about the content

The content of the Service is general learning material based on information available at the time of writing. Final medical and clinical judgement, and any check against law or professional guidelines, must always rest on your own professional judgement and on primary sources. Responsibility for entering patient information or personal data into a generative AI service rests with the user.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published here with an updated date. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by push notification.
